What does cash on delivery mean for a tombstone?
At COD Tombstones, you only pay on the day of installation. You pay when we deliver. Before work begins, confirm your chosen memorial, the agreed total and the delivery and installation details. Our team will explain the accepted payment methods so your family knows what to expect.
Your written quote should identify the design and the work included, together with the location and installation arrangements. Keep these details with the approved inscription and share them with the family contact. This gives everyone a clear record of the memorial you have chosen and the amount payable on the day of installation.
Begin with a design and its product code
Browse the catalogue and save the codes of two or three designs that feel appropriate. The code helps us discuss the exact memorial you have seen, rather than a different stone with a similar shape. You can also bring a photograph from the installation gallery as a reference for a finish or personal detail.
Standard tombstones use confirmed set prices. Executive and signature memorials are in the premium collection and are individually quoted. If a standard price has not yet been confirmed, check it with the team before making your decision.
Compare tombstone designsAgree the personal details before work begins
Write the inscription exactly as the family wants it to appear. Check full names, dates, spelling, punctuation and the language of any message. Where a portrait or symbol is requested, ask what can be reproduced on the chosen design and how the final layout will be approved.
Choose one family contact to collect corrections and give the final approval. Keeping the product code, inscription and approved layout together makes later conversations much clearer.
Agree the installation day and location
Send the town, cemetery name and any grave or section reference you have. Our team will confirm availability, the total price and the delivery and installation arrangements for that location. You only pay on the day of installation.
If you are planning an unveiling, mention the date early. Agree a realistic schedule with the team before making arrangements that depend on the memorial being ready.
Your final order checklist
Before you proceed, keep a written record of these details:
- The product code, material, dimensions and agreed personal details.
- The total price and exactly what is included.
- The amount due on the day of installation and the accepted payment method.
- The delivery location, installation arrangements and agreed schedule.
- The contact person for updates and the final inscription approval.
